Some dates for Spring! Plus more.

Hi all!

Anyone who knows about Private Blogs, send me a message. I may have to change this blog's location. It is hard for new people to join, I have heard. The blog has people set up an account. I want one where people don't have to do that. It's a hassle. So let me know. I'm at lizann 447 at yahoo dot com.

I am getting some flyers today from our SU 722 meeting last night. I hope to scan them to share (some of them) on the SU 722 page and maybe at the Area 17 page too.

People from other Areas or Service Units can also join the Unofficial KYANA page, which is for all Volunteers in GSK.

Here are those links for people not there yet:

The GSK Service Unit 722 (Warren-Edmonson County) page - Unofficial

GSK Area 17's Unofficial Facebook page

Put these Training Weekends on your Calendar, leaders.

They are: Outdoor Training Weekend at Camp Shantituck May 18-20, and
Aquatics and More at Camp Bear Creek, June 1-3.

These weekends will have trainings you can take for your troop. Plus, they are fun.

Also, be looking out for Spring In-person AND Virtual Level Training dates, which are SO great for Meeting ideas and lots more for Troop Leaders and Helpers.

Are you registered on MYGS? If yes, you will be receiving at least two newsletters per week, sometimes 3, which include Events and brand-new information from our Council. You will also have access to Girl Info., and the Activities Calendar. Be sure you are updated there for the current year before Cookies come along. The link is here: MYGS.

Have trouble logging in? Have questions? Contact your VSS (Volunteer Services Specialist) or Volunteer Care.

Area 17 Meeting went well, I found my photos from the Pennyroyal Training Extravaganza, more. Edited with latest Magnut info.

This butterfly reminds me of one I saw at Camp Shantituck at the Fall Training Extravaganza this past Sept. 9-11. Here is that butterfly:

I thought I'd lost these photos, but found them yesterday looking for OTHER photos. They were on another computer.

If you have not seen these, they are at the UNofficial Camp Shantituck site on Facebook today. Here is that link: https://www.facebook.com/groups/616374948450586/.

If you are in that area, or you can travel there, Lisa Leonard is reminding people: Don't forget that this Saturday is Take Down the Tents day at Camp Pennyroyal! <October 22nd> We start at 9 and work at least till 12:30-1, when we'll stop for turkey chili and cornbread muffins for lunch. After lunch we'll evaluate and see how much more we can do; extra hands and muscles are welcome! Respond to tell me if you can help. <You can message her on FB, or can email her at lleonard@gskentuckiana.org>.

UPDATING:
Via a volunteer today about Magnut Sales:
"Online sales go until 11/21. Regular nut/candy orders have to submitted by 10/25.
You can check you troop roster on the NutE site and Karen Smallwood can fix it if your roster is wrong."

The Area 17 Meeting went well. If you could not make it, photos and some of the news are both posted at the Warren County (and Beyond) UNofficial FB page here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/KYANA.Cluster2.and.Beyond/. I can OK you here too.

Did you miss the Legacy Reunion this Sunday?
Here is more about it from another Member's posting.

"Those of you who wish you could have been at our Legacy Reunion can now 'visit' the official program via this YouTube video. If you watch it all (it's an hour long), you will see some familiar speakers (MarySue Ryan and Jeane Hanley) and some other familiar faces along the way (including Mary Noel Stenberg and Marty Woelfel). https://youtu.be/WB0B8UYPndk. And, if you wish, go over to the Girl Scouts of Kentuckiana Legacy Reunion FB page for photos." <It is here: https://www.facebook.com/GSKLegacyReunion/>
I also have some photos at the UNofficial Camp Shantituck page here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/…. I can OK you there if you are not already a member.

Here is a copy of the video here too:

Here is a copy of the Program: (and see above, there is a videotape and other photos on FB and on the Event site on FB too.)

"For people Saying good bye to Maggie:
From Nancy Northrop:

Hello, Girl Scouts!

It's great to have you here.

I will be inviting people here to this new, private Unofficial Girl Scout Volunteer group for KY-ANA Cluster 2 and Beyond very soon.

Explore the pages (above) which list more sites and groups of interest to Girl Scout volunteers and supporters.

And here (like on the older page) I am posting some funny GS memes by Savino, a Girl Scout leader. I hope you like them!

Make sure to check the UNofficial Calendar (above, listed as a page in the tabs above this posting).

Not all events and announcements are here, but some, local and state-wide.

Someone suggested that the "what I really do"  (bottom right at the GS leader meme) with paperwork have lots of dirty laundry and piles of dishes in the background too. (haha)

I hope to see you at the ANNUAL MEETING this weekend! Every Girl Scout Member 14 and up are invited. You do NOT have to pre-register - - this is only for the luncheon.
