Our next SU meeting, some Girl Scout dates, send your info. to Tracey D., more.

Hi, all!

It has been a VERY busy end of summer for me. A new troop for older girls is forming for BG and whoever else wants to join in the GS of Kentuckiana too. I am helping get it started, and will be on the Troop Committee too. It is the International Arts and Adventure Troop. We have interested girls and are registering girls and leaders very soon. We can't wait to get our Troop Number.

If you are interested, or know a 7th - 12th grade girl who is interested in joining, or an adult who would like to help out, just contact Amanda Day, 270-791-3290 and amandaday63@hotmail.com or Shanika Feagins at the International Center of Kentucky at 270-781-8336, ext. 320 or shanika@wkrmaa.org.

I have an UNofficial Calendar, and have listed some events for our area and also other events you may be interested in on this blog entry. It is a page here, just click on it (above as a page link.)

Our Service Unit Mgr. for Area 17, Tracey Dodson, is asking for information on events and news for the area. Send this information to her right away, in the next couple of days if you can.

The Louisville Festival of the Arts link is now live AND the Registration form has now been added too. It is for all levels.
It is Sat Nov 14 2015, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM EST  - and is first-come, first served for tickets. This is a very popular event for all areas that can travel to Louisville.
This event is Saturday, November 14th and is very popular. https://www.gskentuckiana.org/content/gskentuckiana/en/events-repository/2015/_2015_festival_of_th.html  You can download a Festival of the Arts brochure NOW.

Online Registration
How It Works
We are currently working with a temporary website registration process.  We'll have this system through the end of 2016.  Please have patience with us until the full system comes online.
  1. You register online through the website.
  2. Anne emails Janis a spreadsheet of registrants on Tuesday and Friday.
  3. Janis adds registrants to rosters, merges data onto a form, and emails the Volunteer Services Specialists and others the registration forms.
  4. They then review the forms and their rosters to make sure that Janis added them to the correct event.
  5. Once we know an event will take place, they will process the payment at that time.  Credit cards do not process automatically, but must be completed by them.
  6. They will also notify the registrants that the event is taking place.  You should not assume the event is taking place until you receive this confirmation.
  7. If you have not heard, please contact the local Volunteer Services Specialist for more information.
They are still working on the new website.
